BMW Group India has announced the appointment of Hardeep Singh Brar as its new President and CEO, effective 1st September 2025. He will be taking over from Vikram Pawah, who is moving on to lead BMW Group Australia and New Zealand as CEO.
Brar brings with him over 30 years of experience in the Indian automotive industry. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing at Kia India, and has previously held key leadership roles in major companies like Maruti Suzuki, Volkswagen, General Motors, Nissan, and Great Wall Motors. His expertise spans across areas such as sales, marketing, customer experience, dealer network development, and corporate strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Jean-Philippe Parain, Senior Vice President, BMW Group (Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa) said:
