Abhineet Kothari Promoted to Marketing Head – India & South-East Asia at Apollo Tyres

Abhineet Kothari has been elevated to the position of Marketing Head for India and South-East Asia at Apollo Tyres. In his new role, Kothari will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy, brand positioning, and growth initiatives across key markets in the region.

He has been associated with Apollo Tyres since April 2024, serving as Category Head – Passenger Vehicles, where he played a crucial role in driving category growth and enhancing consumer engagement.

Kothari shared this career update on LinkedIn, reflecting on his journey and expressing gratitude for the new opportunity.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, he worked at Paytm as AVP – Payments from April 2022 to April 2024, where he contributed to the expansion and innovation of digital payment solutions.

He also spent nearly nine years at Castrol, taking on several leadership roles across sales and marketing. His journey at Castrol included:

  • Category Manager (Jan 2021 – Apr 2022) – where he managed product portfolios and category strategies.
  • Senior Brand Manager (Jul 2018 – Dec 2020) – leading national brand campaigns and product positioning.
  • Regional Sales Manager (Jan 2015 – Jun 2018) – overseeing sales operations and team performance across regions.
  • Brand Manager (2014) – a role that laid the foundation for his expertise in brand building and market development.

With a strong background in automotive and payments industries, Abhineet Kothari brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight to his new leadership role at Apollo Tyres. His journey reflects a consistent track record of driving results, building brands, and leading high-performing teams.
